Getting Started

This manual will guide you through the activation of Trimble's RangePoint RTX correction service. Follow these step-by-step instructions to unlock and configure your CFX-750 or FM-750 Display device.

Before You Begin, You Will Need:

  • Activation confirmation email with password
  • Device firmware version 4.0 or higher
  • Clear sky environment for optimal setup

Unlocking the RTX Service

Access Settings

From the Run Mode screen, click on the 'Settings' icon to begin the setup process.

Navigate to System

Once the setting options are displayed, click the 'System' icon.

Access Unlock/Upgrade

In the Systems Display, click the 'Unlock/Upgrade' icon to proceed to password entry.

Select Password Upgrade

Click the 'Password upgrade' button to open the password entry screen.

Enter Activation Password

Type the password from your activation email using the virtual keyboard. Note: Don't include hyphens, even if they appear in the email.

Confirm Success

Upon successful password entry, you'll see a confirmation screen. Click the green tick to restart display and return to run screen.

Password Failed?

If the password entry fails, click the green checkmark to retry. Double-check the password from your email and try again. If issues persist, contact the OneAg Subscriptions Team or your local Trimble reseller.

Configuring RangePoint RTX Service

Now that the RangePoint RTX service is unlocked, configure the correction source frequency and baud rate for your location.

Return to Settings

From the run screen, click Settings to access the configuration menu.

Access GPS Settings

Click the 'GPS' icon to enter GPS configuration options.

GPS Setup

Click the 'GPS Setup' icon to go to the GPS Correction Source screen.

Select RangePoint RTX

Select the 'RangePoint RTX' option and click the green arrow button to proceed to the satellite screen.

Configure Frequency

Select the 'Frequency' option and click the green arrow button to access frequency settings.

Enter Location-Specific Frequency

Use the virtual keyboard to enter the frequency based on your location. Reference the frequency table below.

Set Baud Rate

Back on the RangePoint satellite screen, select 'Baud Rate' and click the green arrow.

Select Appropriate Rate

Select the appropriate button showing the rate for your location (reference the frequency table above).

Choose Position Quality

Select your preferred quality option:

  • Favor Accuracy (Recommended): Highest accuracy level
  • Balanced Quality: Trades accuracy for faster production
  • Favor Availability: Extended production time, potentially reduced accuracy

Click the green arrow to proceed.

Verifying RangePoint RTX Service

Check System Status

To verify the RangePoint RTX correction service, double tap the status icon on the run screen.

Verify Critical Settings

A status window will display several settings. Verify these two critical items:

  • GPS Source: Must show RangePoint RTX
  • GPS Status: Must show Converged

Note: Convergence can take up to 5 minutes in a clear sky environment.
